Super Bowl Sum-Up

Here’s a look into the 2014 Super Bowl ads…

The hot new trend this year was hashtags! We found our favorites (#hugfest, #nicehashtag, #goodtobebad) just so happened to be better than those ads themselves. We counted 22… you?

While there were some amazing spots, Budweiser’s 'Puppy Love' and Hyundai’s '6th Sense' came out on top as the two crowd favorites.

Feel goods include: Intuit challenge winner Goldieblox’ 'Come on Bring the Toys', Chevy’s 'Life' and Budweiser’s 'Hero’s Welcome'. These are sure to tug at the heartstrings!

It All Comes Together In Addison

Much excitement ran amidst Vivanti Group last week as our year-long collaboration with Matchbox Studios, Shiroma | Southwest and Addison was finally unveiled!

On January 23rd at Whole Foods Market, media, residents, businesses, visitors and city leaders stopped by to see what was coming together in Addison at the Rebranding Campaign Launch Party.

Ice-pocalypse 2013

Once Upon A Time…

There was a Thursday that began as any beautiful fall day in Texas with birds chirping; warm sun shining. Yet as the crisp air and weather alerts of the afternoon set in, many prepared to brave the storms that brewed only miles away. By nightfall, freezing rain left layers of ice and slush coating seemingly every inch of the Dallas landscape.

News was steadily flowing in: Schools and work places were closing. The thought of ice skating, sleeping in, hot cocoa by the fire and Holiday movie marathons danced around in everyone’s head.

All That Shines

It’s that time of year again: the 2nd annual spectacular Vitruvian Lights in Addison’s own 12-acre Vitruvian Park. Millions of lights will glitter until January 1st to help us ring in the New Year.

This past Friday marked the very successful grand lighting ceremony complete with an elf, Santa, Frosty, the Addison mayor and our very own Laura Schieber!

We all know these food items to belong to one weight-adding culprit: Thanksgiving. But how can we pass up on such deliciousness?

While many tend to participate in this day of grace and gluttony, few cherish the past of the Pilgrims. Yet one tradition is sure to stay: The Turkey Pardon. Each year since 1947 the White House spares a turkey from becoming a main dish. Other annual trends have also taken flight: football & parade watching, wishbone breaking, luxurious nap taking and the newest addition: Black Friday prepping.

'Stache Attack

Ron Burgundy; Ron Swanson; Ron Jeremy: beyond their noteworthy names, these bold-to-the-core men have one important feature in common: their ‘stache.

Movember is upon us ladies! Prepare to see a Handlebar, Pencil, Cowboy or Fu Manchu at every turn. But fear not Mo Sistas, supporting the ‘stache is a sure way to guarantee you a Mo ‘Mance with that perfect Mo Bro.

'Tis the Season

While Texas tends to be an exception to the magnificent fall and winter weather trends, the good news is, you can find Starbucks seasonal cups on your way to work, grandma will still bake the turkey, stuffing and apple pie, and delicious Dreyer’s peppermint ice cream will be available in the nearest grocery store.

Mockingbird Station Unmasked: The Scary Scoop on The People’s Last Halloween

It was spooky; it was spine-tingling; it was sinister: The People’s Last Halloween at the Station was ‘sin’sational.

The Newest Vivanti Addition

As children, we are asked the question: “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I had finally found myself face-to-face with this dilemma, and there was no other way forward than taking it head on. Would I fall flat or would I find success?

I graduated in May with a degree in Public Relations (Hook ‘Em), and as fate would have it, I landed in Dallas: land of the Cowboys, Big Tex, frozen margaritas and heavy traffic. I did what any jobless recent grad would do: apply for what felt like a gazillion jobs due to the fact that I had only a few dollars to my name.
